Youth Basketball League

- The Summer 2026 Basketball League is scheduled to begin June 20, 2026. Weeknight games will begin Friday, January 26. For kids in grades K-8. Grades may be combined. The league is not COED.
- REGISTRATION IS LIMITED!
- Registration begins May 5 at 8:00 a.m. for Torrance residents and May 13 for non-residents.
- The cost for the 8 week program is $104 and includes a uniform.
- Teams are formed based on the grade, school your child attends or address on file.
- Due to the size of the program, we do not honor requests for coaches or teammates.
- Teams will play one game per week. Games will be played on Friday nights at the Dee Hardison Sports Center at Wilson Park and on Saturdays at Wilson Park and TUSD middle schools.
- Practice days, times and locations are determined by the volunteer coach.

Volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Please fill out a volunteer application if you're interested in coaching a team. Volunteer Application - Youth Sports Coach (volgistics.com) If a team does not have a volunteer coach, the team will be a "game only" team with no practices.

Registration Information
- Walk in, mail in, faxed and ONLINE registration for Torrance residents will begin Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
- Walk in, mail in, faxed and ONLINE registration for non-residents will begin Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
- The Registration Office is located 3031 Torrance Blvd., and is open Monday – Thursday and every other Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- No full refunds will be given. Only partial refund of 80% or 100% credit on account will be available if requested by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
- The last day to register is May 28, 2026. Registrations taken after this date will be placed on a team with openings and may not be on a team with their school.

- Concussion Training - Required for all coaches.
- After the Youth Program Season, all-volunteer coaches will receive a 100% credit upon returning their equipment as long as the equipment issued is returned by the deadline given. If the team’s equipment is damaged or lost, the Coach will need to contact the Recreation Supervisor.
