WELCOME TO TORRANCE DAY CAMP SUMMER 2026!

Come spend your summer break with your favorite recreation staff at Torrance Day Camp!  Our camps are a great way for children to keep their minds engaged and bodies active through sports, creative play, outdoor activities, and social interaction. Torrance Day Camps are conducted by trained and caring recreation staff that provide an inclusive, positive, and safe environment. 

TORRANCE DAY CAMP IS OFFERED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: 

Day Camp at Greenwood-1520 Greenwood Ave. (Room 29) | Ages 6-11 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Monday - Friday                                       Each two-week session includes arts, crafts, games, a trip to the Plunge (for campers 8 and up) and a special excursion. Campers are placed in groups based on age. The groups will rotate through the various activities each day.  

Teen Camp at Greenwood-1520 Greenwood Ave. (Room 28) | Grades: 6-8 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Monday - Friday     Each two-week session offers middle school students an exciting summer packed with fun activities! Enjoy walking field trips, arts and crafts, sports, a special excursion, and much more.  

Sports Camp at Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. | Ages 8-14 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Monday - Friday                                                              Each two-week session will offer various sports, a trip to the Plunge and special excursion. Sports will vary each week and may include basketball, cheer and dance, volleyball, pickleball and soccer. Campers will check in at the Wilson Park Field Office (blue building) located between Softball Fields 2 and 3.  Extended Care is not available at this location.

Mini Day Camp at La Romeria Park, 19501 S. Inglewood Ave.| Ages 5-7 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  | Monday - Friday         Each two-week mini day camp offers an exciting mix of arts, crafts, sports, games, and entertainment for all participants. Campers will enjoy special themed events, interactive performances, and the chance to make lasting friendships in a supportive and energetic environment.  Extended Care is not available at this location.

FEES AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Early Camp Registration begins online on Tuesday, May 12 at 8:00 a.m. for Torrance Residents!

Regular Summer Registration begins on Tuesday, May 19 for Torrance Residents and on Wednesday, May 27 for Non-Residents.  Registration can be completed online, fax or at the Registration Office.  The Registration Office is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. alternating with a closed Friday every other week.  For more information, contact the Registration Office (310) 618-2720 or Enroll@TorranceCA.Gov

The fees listed represent costs for residents (R)/non-residents (NR). Participants may also register for extended supervision, listed below. New enrollments and additions including extended care at Greenwood Day Camp and Teen Camp MUST be made by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the start of camp.

Financial assistance may be available to Torrance residents for children under the age of 18 years of age for Torrance Community Services Department classes and programs.  Guidelines have been established to assist families who are residents of the City of Torrance. 

Day Camp T-Shirts – Blue Design with Day Camp Sun are priced at $8 each and are required for all excursions and field trips. You can pick up and purchase your T-shirts at the West Annex of City Hall, located at 3031 Torrance Blvd. The pick-up hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Payment is NOT accepted at camp sites. Please note, camp t-shirts are non-refundable.

Day Camp Extended Supervision is available at Torrance Day and Teen Camp (Greenwood Park) for those children who must stay later than 4:00 p.m. Extended Supervision is $75 R/ $85 NR. Participants who are picked up late will be assessed a late fee of $10 for every 15 minutes interval or portion thereof, so please be prompt. Fees are charged per child.

DAY CAMP CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

You must call the Registration Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of camp if you wish to cancel a camp, transfer to a different session of camp, obtain a credit on account OR obtain a refund.  No credits, transfers, or refunds will be issued after this time.  A 20% administrative fee will be deducted for each week in which a refund is given.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Sign in and out will take place at the door or outside of the camp room.
• Campers will need to bring a lunch, snacks and water each day.
• Please apply sunscreen for your camper. Staff are not allowed to assist with sunscreen application, but they will remind the participants to reapply throughout the day.
• Day Camp T-shirts are MANDATORY for all excursions/field trips.
• Late fees are charged per camper beginning at 4:01 p.m. Please be prompt in signing out your child.
• Camps are subject to change, cancelation, or modification.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE ARRIVING TO CAMP:

•  Please bring a completed Camper Emergency Form to the first day of camp.
• Complete the Day Camp Program Participant Agreement (last page of the Parent/Guardian Camp Handbook).
• If your child needs to take medication while at camp, please complete the Medication Policy.
• If your child has a severe allergy, please complete the Severe Allergy Medication Form.
• Please keep your camper at home if they are sick.
